All Eyes Forward: New and Emerging Filmmakers is an upcoming independent film screening for short films.

I was born and raised in China; I moved to Baltimore in 2021 for my master's at MICA for filmmaking and production. During this time, I met so many amazing filmmakers and artists, all incredibly talented. We've been working on our thesis or other final projects for the last few months, and I was growing frustrated with the outlets to show my work outside of school. Around the same time, I was auditioning for a project, and while we chatted, the producer mentioned they had started their own production company because opportunities to create and display their work how they wanted to were rare. This inspired me: I know so many talented people! We all deserve a chance to show our work outside of a school setting and develop our professional portfolio right from the get-go.

So I decided to organize an independent film screening for short films and put out a call for submissions. We received a lot of submissions from students and artists across Baltimore, and I was really touched.
